The "Stadtpark" is the official park of the city. The park dated back to the Habsburg times, when it was planned and erected after tearing down the city wall of Vienna. Nowadays it is most visited by tourists for the famous golden statue of famous musician Johann Strauss.

It provides the most scenic setting for a summer picknick and some relaxation on the meadown next to the small pond. Another plus point to the Stadtpark is that it is easily accessible via underground.
The "Kursalon" - the building right next to Stadtpark offers classic musique concerts all year.
