Classical splendour
We spent a wonderful hour or so in the most magnificent church listening to a spectacular quartet last Sunday. Neither of us are classical experts but the choice of works were first class and wide ranging so enabled us to sit back and be immersed in a world of times gone by!

Great Casual and Relaxed Trip
My husband and I took this trip from Vienna to Prague in September with Jacob. Our host was excellent, local, and knowledgable! He brought us to great locations and was a thoughtful tour guide. The tour was much smaller then I expected; there were only 6 of us and we shared a large comfy van together. Look carefully, the stops from Prague to Vienna are not the same as Vienna to Prague. I didn't realize this when I looked. As such as the stops were a surprise to me. They were all beautiful and relaxing. This trip is not overly exciting, but it was nice to share travel stories, eat some good and cheap food, and see the countryside. We liked it as a down day from our otherwise busy trip. We liked it as an alternative travel day to train travel.

Vienna through Polaroids
I'm so glad I found this Urban polaroid tour through Like A Local. My guide was Jackie and she was the best. She showed me the Urban Vienna through a different perspective. We finished the tour an hour early so we stopped by a coffee shop for brunch. I was the only person on the tour so everything was really flexible. Highly recommend this.

Great fun
We did the tour in great weather in March, and had an excellent time. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable and we saw a lot of great places. The tour itself took us places we probably would not find as tourists, which was a big plus.

Interesting Way to See Vienna
Despite the rain, our tour guide was very helpful and we genuinely had a nice time. This tour is a great way to see the city and is much different than a traditional walking tour.

Fun and quirky way to see the city
Seeing a city through the square viewfinder of a Polaroid camera was a great way to see Vienna; our guides, Gilbert and Itta, were helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommended!

We did the Urban Vienna Polaroid Tour with Gilbert and enjoyed a really unique experience. Taking Polaroid photographs was new to both my wife and I but Gilbert started the tour with a very informative overview on the camera's operation and then consistently checked back with us throughout to give useful feedback in order for us to get the best possible shots. This is no gimmick, they really believe that this "old" technology offers something distinctly different from digital photography, and the results show that they're right.

Along with the camera, you receive a cartridge allowing you to take 8 shots. (You can purchase more if you wish.) In an age when we all snap photos indiscriminately, and sort out the crap later (or never), there was something special about having a limited number of precious shots. It forces you to evaluate your subject matter more closely than usually, to spend more time framing shots and in, essence to look at the tour route through your viewfinder. This had an amazing and even therapeutic effect on us. The Vienna crowds seemed to disappear as we strolled by looking for that perfect shot.

In the end, we had a fun, interesting time and ended up with some cool photos, although my technique could still use a little work.

Perfect
I had the best day on this tour. The journey to get to Hallstatt is long but it's split up with one service station stop each way and on the way, you stop at the castle for a bit. Hallstatt is by far one of the most beautiful places I've seen and would deffo recommend this trip. Our guide was so lovely and informative. He was a credit to the company. It's pretty busy when we went in August but the guide says it's harder to get to Hallstatt in winter with the roads, and to be honest somewhere like that will always be busy. Unless you stay the night when tours leave. There's the chance to go up to the lookout by cable car and have a guided 30 or so minutes through the village, and then a further 20 mins in the church and skull place, but all this is optional if you just want to explore by yourself. And there's the boat trip at the end. Excellent day!
Day Trip to Hallstatt & the Lake Region from Vienna
Charming experience
I booked this walking tour to show Kahlenberg to my cousin because even if I live in Vienna, I didn't know about it.
Andreas was very responsive before the day replying fast to our inquiries.
The tour itself was very nice, starting by taking a bus to the top of Kahlenberg. There we enjoyed the view from above and got some interesting historial facts about the area. Then we went to 2 Heurigers where we enjoyed white house wine outside and even we were lucky that the sun went out :) In the next Heuriger we decided to be inside because it was already cold. It was a very cozy hut where we had some more wine and typical austrian food. Afterwards we returned to the bottom of the hill to catch a bus back to the metro station.

It was a very nice afternoon and we definitely recommend it!

I had a tour yesterday with my friend, and it was brilliant. I live in Vienna at the moment so I had already been to all the places we went to (you see all the main sights but remember - it's more a nice walk not an informative/historical tour) but it was great to see it from a different angle! I really for the first time looked at the intricate details of Viennese architecture and I got to have a lot of fun being a photographer! The guide was lovely and personable and at the end we went back to the really nice office and got to see all our photos and discuss them over a cup of coffee and a cake. They were professional but still very friendly! A brilliant tour and I would love to do it again - perhaps this time of underground Vienna and the graffiti :). Thank you for everything!

My guide Teresa Liska
I lived in Vienna for 3 months for work and I thought 'Lets do something fun'. I found the polaroid tour on trip advisor and I really love polaroids, so 1 + 1 =2. I had an unforgettable day! My tourguide was so sweet. I was the only one who booked the tour so I was lucky enough to have a private tour. First she told me an interesting story about the Impossible brand. After that we started the fun tour. I made a few photos myself but I rather had polaroids of myself than the city so she was kind enough to be my photographer for a day. I loved it! She was kind and easy to talk to. She even laid on the ground for me to make the most beautiful picture of me hihi. We had fun. Keep up the good work Teresa. You made my day and gave me inspo to work on some projects in my own city.

A Highlight of Vienna
I spent a half day in December with Marieta touring Vienna. It was an exceptional experience. I have limited mobility due to a problematic ankle, and Marieta designed the perfect tour for me. I was able to see many different facets of Vienna. Marieta is very professional, yet very personable. She is fluent in English and quite knowledgeable about art, architecture, history, literature, music, and culture. Marieta also provided excellent suggestions for items to take home with me, coffee houses to visit, books to read, and films to view. I was amazed at all we were able to see and do in half a day. Marieta is the perfect guide. I am looking forward to returning to Vienna and exploring more with her as my guide.

Mozart Ensemble, Singerstrasse 7, 1010 Wien
This is a classical music presentation that should not be missed. It takes place all year on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. 19:30 hour on Thursday, Friday and Sunday. 18:00 hour on Saturday. The location is a short distance from U-Bahn station Stephensplatz line 1. I was very impressed because it is a very intimate concert with about 50 chairs. You are up close and personal. It takes place in the house of Mozats first apartment in Vienna. It is the oldest concert hall in Vienna where Mozart performed. Instruments played by the quartet were two violins, one viola, and one Cello. Selections included Mozart, Schubert, Haydn, and Beethoven when I attended. If you miss this concert, you are missing a gem.

Do it! Do it! Do it!
Amazing! Loved every minute!
We had so much fun with Kady, our guide. She was clearly very passionate about the history and use of Polaroids and could tell us lots about the stunning city as we walked around. It was all very laid back though, not like other tours that I have been on, and the almost 2 and a half hours flew by! Very enjoyable, even in the cold, and we got to see lots of Vienna. And what's more- we now have some very unique and personalised souvenirs which we shall treasure forever and are already on display at home.
If you are a lover of taking photographs, Instagram etc I cannot recommend this enough. Now we just need this to be set up in a few more cities!

A great way to explore the city and create some precious memories/ souvenirs!

Thomas our guide (and co-founder of Polawalk) gave us a fascinating introduction to Polaroid photography and took us on a casual fun walking tour of Vienna.

It was a beautiful sunny afternoon, so the lightening was great. Thomas gave us lots of helpful ideas and directions on how to make the most out of our Polaroid shots.

At the end of the tour, we were invited back to the Polawalk office whereby they offered snacks/ drinks and we got to see the results!

We took away not just a fun experience but also precious, personal souvenirs. Highly recommend this if u are ever in Vienna!

Great Day Trip From Vienna
My family and I recently spent several days in Vienna. The highlight of our trip was the day tour we did of Melk, Hallstatt and Salzburg. Our driver, Peter was extremely punctual and allowed us to spend our time on the things that we specifically wanted to do. My wife and daughter are obsessed with The Sound of Music and both Peter and our local guide in Salzburg were great at pointing out specific locations from the movie. Hallstatt was busy with tourists and even though we had to fight some intermittent rain, the beauty was just as advertised. What a great day!!!
