We’ll equip you with a vintage Polaroid camera to capture Vienna from your point of view! The tour begins with a crash course in Polaroid photography, so you don’t need to have any prior knowledge whatsoever about Polaroid cameras or photography in general.

Your friendly local guide will point out photo opportunities and support you in taking the best possible shots. He or she will advise you on angles and composition, and gladly take photos of you, your family, or your friends. One pack of instant film (8 pictures) by Polaroid Originals worth €19 is included in the tour price.

We adapt our routes according to what’s going on at the time, but we always visit the MuseumsQuartier, Spittelberg, and Donaukanal, where we dive deep into Vienna’s street art scene.

If you’re only in Vienna for a short time and want to get a real feel for the city – this is the tour for you!

Your guide will be happy to give you tips and recommendations for the rest of your stay.

Unique and Fun Tour
We had a fun time walking some of the less travelled parts of Vienna with Fabian. One example of a place away from the usual tourist areas was a community garden. Fabian did a good job of advising us on taking photos with the Polaroids. He was patient and we never felt rushed.
Very nice tour to explore Vienna!
We had lots of fun!
Great fun
We did the tour in great weather in March, and had an excellent time. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable and we saw a lot of great places. The tour itself took us places we probably would not find as tourists, which was a big plus.
Excellent tour
Our guide Jackie was knowledgeable and informative. I enjoyed seeing parts of Vienna not on the usual tourist route. The street art and graffiti were amazing. The tour is definitely worth doing.
Fun and quirky way to see the city
Seeing a city through the square viewfinder of a Polaroid camera was a great way to see Vienna; our guides, Gilbert and Itta, were helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommended!
Vienna through Polaroids
I'm so glad I found this Urban polaroid tour through Like A Local. My guide was Jackie and she was the best. She showed me the Urban Vienna through a different perspective. We finished the tour an hour early so we stopped by a coffee shop for brunch. I was the only person on the tour so everything was really flexible. Highly recommend this.
My guide Teresa Liska
I lived in Vienna for 3 months for work and I thought 'Lets do something fun'. I found the polaroid tour on trip advisor and I really love polaroids, so 1 + 1 =2. I had an unforgettable day! My tourguide was so sweet. I was the only one who booked the tour so I was lucky enough to have a private tour. First she told me an interesting story about the Impossible brand. After that we started the fun tour. I made a few photos myself but I rather had polaroids of myself than the city so she was kind enough to be my photographer for a day. I loved it! She was kind and easy to talk to. She even laid on the ground for me to make the most beautiful picture of me hihi. We had fun. Keep up the good work Teresa. You made my day and gave me inspo to work on some projects in my own city.
Knowledgeable and Passionate
Knowledgeable and passionate about both Vienna and Polaroid. With her help we saw things in Vienna we never would have seen, and took some really fantastic pictures that felt more like art than your standard cell phone snaps. I can highly recommend this tour. Wear comfortable shoes of course, and bring water.
I did both tours and had a great time. Gilbert was able to show me the heart of the city and was able to see more of Vienna then most people see on vacation. I highly recommend either tour for someone who wants to see the city either with the Polaroid or their own camera.
We did the Urban Vienna Polaroid Tour with Gilbert and enjoyed a really unique experience. Taking Polaroid photographs was new to both my wife and I but Gilbert started the tour with a very informative overview on the camera's operation and then consistently checked back with us throughout to give useful feedback in order for us to get the best possible shots. This is no gimmick, they really believe that this "old" technology offers something distinctly different from digital photography, and the results show that they're right.

Along with the camera, you receive a cartridge allowing you to take 8 shots. (You can purchase more if you wish.) In an age when we all snap photos indiscriminately, and sort out the crap later (or never), there was something special about having a limited number of precious shots. It forces you to evaluate your subject matter more closely than usually, to spend more time framing shots and in, essence to look at the tour route through your viewfinder. This had an amazing and even therapeutic effect on us. The Vienna crowds seemed to disappear as we strolled by looking for that perfect shot.

In the end, we had a fun, interesting time and ended up with some cool photos, although my technique could still use a little work.
