Your driver will first take you to the Benedictine Abbey where you’ll have a great view of the town Melk, the nearby gardens, and the abbey itself.
You’ll then continue further into the Lake District, driving through beautiful towns such as Bad Ischl, and stopping in the picturesque village of Hallstatt, which is known for its production of salt. It also gave its name to the Hallstatt culture, a culture often linked to Celtic, Proto-Celtic, and pre-Illyrian peoples in Early Iron Age Europe.
After this remarkable visit, you’ll drive through lake towns to Salzburg – the city of music and birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. You’ll have the opportunity to see the fortress, Getreidegasse, and Mozart’s birthplace.
Depending on your plans, you can stay in Salzburg or take the motorway back to Vienna with your driver.
