We’ll start our tour at the Heiligenstadt subway station. The meeting point is in front of the Anker bakery. We’ll take a bus to the top of Kahlenberg, the highest hill in Vienna, for a beautiful view of the city.
I’ll tell you a bit about the area and you can get a refreshment if needed. After a short break we’ll walk towards the D tram station where you can take a tram back to the city centre.
On the way down we’ll pass a couple of local wine taverns where you can taste some local food and wine while enjoying the view over Vienna and the Danube. The most popular wines are Grüner Veltliner (white) and Zweigelt (red). You can then choose to stay with the group or go to another tavern.
I recommend you buy a daily transport ticket for this tour if you don't already have a Vienna pass.
