Why locals love it
Recently undergone some major changes (in ownership, for example). Used to be known as a tourist only place but now at least 70-80% inside the club are locals. Of course, during tourist season the balance shifts, but the club welcomes everyone (e.g. LGBT+). Security used to be intimidating, not now. Decisions about entry are now made by the owners.

Why you should visit it
There are many places to go in the city, bars, bars with dance floors, even some where you can dance. However, Salento had the only decent sized dance floor in the city. Music is popular, Latin, contemporary, some EDM/techno, i.e standard club music. Great light show, drinks average for the city. Owners friendly and welcoming. Smoking room inside.
