Vilnius is a great place to find cool, unique and relatively inexpensive things. It has a nice combination of boutiques, second-hand shops, designer fashion houses and shopping malls located in close proximity to one another.
The Old Town is a good destination for designer clothing and accessories. There are over 30 boutiques dotted about the tiny streets selling collections by Lithuanian designers known both locally and worldwide. Stiklių Street, Savičiaus Street and L. Stuokos Gucevičiaus Street are good places to start. Rotušės aikštė (Town Hall Square) is home to high-end boutiques and famous Lithuanian fashion houses.
Mainstream goods are typically available at shopping malls like Akropolis, Panorama and Ozas, which are easily accessible by bus or car.
Local markets are a legacy of Soviet times and are great places to step back into the past.
