We were lucky, we had the best autumn weather: sunrays through the beautiful red, yellow and brown of the almost falling leaves. It made the city look even lovelier than it does normally. But even without that our tour would’ve been great; it was just the two of us because of low season, and our fantastic guide (whose name I forgot, unfortunately) changed the tour after asking what we were interested in. So we cycled through the gentrifying central station area, Uzupis, great panoramic views and the famous old town. Every stop had a good story and our guide knew a lot of old and more recent history of Lithuania, a country that has had a very turbulent history from the beginning of its existence. Highly recommendable, you’ll see a lot more in a shorter time than just walking around.

Great Mountain Bike Trip
I had a great time going on a mountain bike with Avitalis last week. Given that it was a rainy day, I was a little bit hesitant to bike in the chilly rain, but the sky turned blue and it looked like a good chance to ride. We pedaled through eastern Vilnius, through Uzupis, some overlooks of the city, and then some soft downhills and uphills before ending up in Belmontas. The trip was about 2-2.5 hours. Avitalis was a very knowledgeable and kind guide, even taking care to lend me his rain jacket and watching out for me as we crossed some busy intersections. Highly recommended and I would have like to do the city tour the next day--unfortunately, it rained even more!
