Neringa: Breathtaking Curonian Life in a Day
80 EUR
This place is the best. We strongly recommend Curonian Spit to ourselves and we do recommend it for You. It is a unique narrow piece of land squeezed between the Baltic sea and the Curonian lagoon. Once it was surrounded by fisherman villages that now became picturesque resorts.

Description
Since we know the time is not your partner, there will be plenty of the road, which is beautiful once we cross a ferry to the spit (3h drive from Vilnius). There is only one road and we picked out the most picturesque and must see agenda that can fit in a day.
In Juodkrante we will stop for a “Hill of witches” that describes ancient folk traditions and say “Hi” to cormorants who have settled a colony in the forest. Afterwards a sight worth a little hike uphill for 360 degrees panoramic views.
In the middle of sightseeing, it’s time for the other senses and we will stop at a local fisherman who will have some fish that was smoked that day a few hours ago – life rarely gets better than this. It is a tradition of every local visitor to eat Curonian smoked fish and get it at the fisherman is an experience in itself.
We will continue to the most western town of Lithuania – Nida – which is the best place on earth for many Lithuanians. Here we will stop for a breathtaking panorama from the Parnidis dune and have a stroll by the lagoon.
The purpose of this trip will be to show You the best Lithuania has to offer. Believe us – many foreigners come back for longer to this Curonian life.

Alina, our guide, showed us places that you'd only see with a local.
We were also told about past and present history of the country and the town, visited the top sightseeing places and I specially enjoyed the time spent in the Užupis district.
The tour takes around 2.5 - 3 hours so you really get to see a lot.
