Description

We would like to begin with a KGB museum, that is located in a former KGB prison and it is a sight and experience by itself. This will give us a general feeling on the level of terror and vibe in the air.

Next we will go for a river walk along Neris and both banks of it that Soviets were to credit for it’s urbanization. We will see the contrast between the old and new and hear stories on a few very important topics such as:

- Why was humour so important for Soviets and what was it like?
- Were private conversations really private while staying at a hotel?
- What does "singing revolution" mean for the Baltic states?
- Where does Lithuanian obsession with basketball come from and the story of the other "Dream Team".

During the tour you will stop in one of the oldest working Vilnius cinemas to have a coffee/tea break while tasting various sweet snacks and learn how come kitchen became the center of everyday life.
