Why locals love it

One of the largest roof gardens in Europe, the Library Garden is a perfect place for rest. In the lower garden you find a fish pond and a small stream, while the upper garden is arranged by the colours of the plants. The garden is designed to be in perfect harmony with the ultra-modern library building.

Why you should visit it

You should not miss one of the greenest spots in Warsaw which is just a short walk away from the touristy old town. It is a great place to read, study, have a picnic lunch or enjoy a bit of sunshine. The lower garden is open to the public every day, while the upper garden is closed for the winter months (November-March).

Special tip

From the upper garden’s viewing terrace you have a great panorama of the Vistula river and the embankment.

You can visit the garden for free, everyone knows that. But if you want to enter the library, it provided only for students but you can just say to the guard "I want to make new card or nowy karta" and he will let you in. Just make sure not to be in there for too long before he notices that you actually lie. Lol. Don't tell anyone else I taught you this. Hahaha

It was amazing place! For first time I've seen something like this and the best part - it's part of a library :)
