Viennese cafe in the heart of Warsaw

Cafe Bristol

Why locals love it

There are not too many places like these, all small cafes of Warsaw where sadly gone together with the Second World War. I love Cafe Bristol for being a real cafe – with little round tables, high ceilings, noise of porcelaine cups and good cakes.

Why you should visit it

Not sure if you meet many locals here as we locals love chain coffee shops nowadays. After Second World War this cafe stayed in slightly different shape but with the same lovely Viennese style atmosphere. You may be shy to enter Bristol Hotel cafe but trust me it is not over priced and not snobbish either.

Special tip

On a Sunday morning you may witness ritual coffee chats of old Varsovians just after a usual Sunday church ceremony. Black long coffee is my choice.
