Photoplastikon is not a time machine, but a device from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, showing you three dimensional pictures of old Warsaw. The machine itself is the only remaining photoplastikon in Poland, and one of the very few in the world, still in good working condition.
If you would like to see how Warsaw looked like in the good old times, before the Second Word War, you should head to Fotoplastikon. During the screenings you can listen to jazz music and feel melancholic about the city’s sad past. Check the website for special screenings. Admission is free on Thursday.
Walking at Aleja Jerozolimskie look for the stereoscopes in the wall. The entrance of Fotoplastikon is through that courtyard, don't be shy to go in!
