I enjoyed this tour immenseIy. The guide Marita was engaged and informative and obviously loves her subject. We found all the food delicious, even the unexpected (like smalec), and there was so much, that by the end of the tour even my teenage sons couldn't finish it all.

We tried a couple of recommended restaurants and found them excellent, and the pdf cookbook was a bonus that we'll be using to try and recreate these Polish flavours at home.

Description

We know that trying new foods is a huge part of travelling. We also know that it can be tricky to find the best places for truly authentic cuisine. You can wander around and pick eateries at random, you can spend hours reading online reviews, or you can join us for a culinary and cultural adventure!

If you choose the latter option, we’ll take you to some of our favourite local spots and guide you as you sample a variety of tasty and authentic Polish foods.

You’ll be treated to 13–14 different food samples, Polish vodka and craft beer tastings, and a dessert, which together can easily replace a meal.

As we walk, talk, and eat, you’ll learn about Polish food culture, as well as the history of the foods we try and each of the places we visit.

In order to give you the personalised experience you deserve, we keep our tour groups small.

Understanding Poland through food
Should definitely join this tour with empty stomach. Our guide, Pawel was very passionate about his city and Polish food. He's very knowledgeable and eagerly shared his passion of food to us. I had prepared coming with empty stomach but still it was lots of food for me, although it came in sample portions. Thank God we had to walk to other venue in between meals. it is a must to join this tour when you're in Warsaw!

So much food with an excellent guide.
Pawel was our guide and he was so informative. The tour took in a large portion of the city, including neighborhoods an average tourist would be unlikely to visit. It is clear that he is passionate about his city as well as Polish food and drink. Go hungry; it's a lot of food! Loved the beer tastings as well as different types of food, including street food and of course pierogies and potato pancakes.

Just brilliant!
This is no doubt the best way to experience traditional Polish food. Kamila and George are both exceptional and very informative guides.
Delicious , Informative and Enjoyable
Highly professional from start to end. Really an excellent way to get a good feel for local cuisine, and an intro to a cool neighbourhood. Aside from great guide(s) and a fairly small group, the slected venues were top notch with excellent service. Seemed to get the balance between authenticity and quality just right. Even the pace was just right. Nice follow up too. Would definitely recommend for all.
Wódka i jedzenie
After a 9-day tour of Poland, I spent a week in Krakow. There were wonderful reviews and photos of vodka bars in Krakow, but as a solo traveler, sitting in a bar with a flight of vodkas for just me didn't seem very appealing, so I booked this Delicious Krakow Vodka & Culture Tour and highly recommend it! It was a small group of 5 people, including our guide, who was friendly and knowledgable. We sampled 7 vodkas, as well as some delicious food. (If you are vegan or vegetarian, you may find it difficult to enjoy, as most dishes were meat, fish, cheese.) The tour includes a decent amount of walking, so it's probably not recommended for those with limited or difficult mobility. I would certainly try other tours by this company!
