How do you make a cold and snowy Monday morning enjoyable, informative and fun? Book Mario as your guide for a tour of Warsaw with this company! He was very amiable and made the group feel like friends from the word go. The van was definitely an authentic 'bone shaker' but that just added to the journey in my opinion. Mario was incredibly knowledgeable about Poland and its history, spoke excellent English and you could tell he had a thirst for good discussion (we even spoke about current affairs related to Poland!). I would highly recommended this company and the unique spin placed on the tour - off the beaten track, with a guide who has an amazing library of information, lunch in a REAL Polish milk bar (we ate with the locals), and a ride in an original communist vehicle. A fabulous day, fantastic vfm.

Highlights

City break with hidden Warsaw

Places outside the typical tourist route (non-touristic places)

Pre-war Warsaw, Warsaw’s Vistula river and Warsaw’s Praga district

Tasting of Polish cuisine in the local bar

Retro minibus named Nysa 522

Description

We will take a look at the cities less known places, visit both banks of the Vistula river and discover many faces of the Polish capital city. We will ride a retro Polish Nysa 522 minivan.

We will surprise our guests with little-known anecdotes about the history of the city and Poland. The companion of your adventure will be a professional and a little twisted local guide.

We will start on Grzybowski Square, which is the epicenter of capital contrasts - from pre-war buildings, through relics of communism, to modern skyscrapers of the future. We will discover the secrets of Warsaw courtyards, look at the gates to feel the breeze of another city, slightly hidden from the eyes of onlookers. We will get to know the places where Varsovians meet, we will see where hipsters and nature enthusiasts go to. The River Vistula will reveal its secrets - after all it is the queen of Polish rivers. The eastern part of the city is located on the right bank of the river - Warsaw's Praga district. We will touch the buildings that survived the war and we will stop for refreshments at the local bar.

See different faces of the city, experience new things, get ready for an adventure!

We were picked up by the guide Mariusz in the old communist van, and to have a drive in that was an amazing experience in itself. Apart from that our guide was a person with an incredible knowledge about Warsaw, Poland and able to answer all of our many questions. His good sense of humour also added some spices to the tour. I have often heard firms claiming that what they do is untraditional, but it this case it REALLY was very untraditional and worth all the money. All the interesting stories and anecdotes you hear and the interesting places you see, and the authentic food you get which is actually real tasty. This is definitely a tour we will always remember for the good. I had never expected it to be SO interesting as it turned out to be. Try it, you wont regret it. Dont miss this experience.
Our guide Adam picked us up a the hotel in this amazing van. We had a great tour, Adam really is a good guide, explaining everthing there is to say about Warsaw. After lunch in a 'milk bar' with nice Polish food, we went to the museum and finished with wodka! I would recommend this trip to everybody if you don't want a 'normal' hop on hop off tour. This is so much more fun!
