Warsaw Off the Beaten Track: Self-Drive Tour in a Retro Fiat

Already visited Warsaw’s top attractions? Tired of standard sightseeing tours? Jump in our retro Fiat 126p car, also known as Toddler, and take a self-drive tour to the city’s not-so-well-known spots! Your guide will show you attractions that aren’t included in typical tours of Warsaw.
Duration 2.5 hours
Private tour available in English, Spanish, German
Group tour pricing from 98 EUR per person
We booked last minute and and everything went without a glitch. Our guide Marcin was very knowledgeable (he was a history major at the Warsaw University), passionate about his town and very accommodating to our requests. We had a great insight of the WWII Warsaw, Jewish history, transition period and got a taste of a contemporary Warsaw. We saw unique places off the beaten tourist path. Highly recommend!

Highlights

Cruise around Warsaw in a retro Fiat 126p car

See the city’s undiscovered attractions

Admire beautiful pre-war modernist architecture

Hear entertaining stories about Warsaw’s past

Description

Your tour begins at the Palace of Culture and Science, one of the best-known landmarks of Warsaw, but only to quickly learn how to drive a Fiat 126p.

Well-prepared, you’ll then set off to a neighbourhood full of wooden houses. This is where the construction workers who built the Palace of Culture and Science lived. You’ll find out what the lives of these workers looked like and what it meant to be a Soviet construction worker.

Afterwards, you’ll drive to the historical Bielany district. This picturesque interwar-era part of the city has gas lanterns (the last ones in Warsaw) and some of the most beautiful examples of modernist architecture.

From Bielany, you’ll travel back to the time when Warsaw was under the control of the Russian Tsars. Here, just by the city centre, you’ll drive past an original 19th-century fortification – the Warsaw Citadel.

Throughout the tour your guide will share entertaining stories about the places you visit and pass.

Please note:
A valid driving license is required.
A security deposit of PLN 500/€125 in cash is required (refunded after the tour).

A lot of fun
Driving the old car was very entertaining, the route we took was very insightful and the guide did a great shop of showing us around. Perticularly good activity for rather rainy days.
