Arlington Cemetery is nearly 650 acres. It was established during the Civil War on the grounds of confederate Robert E Lee's estate. There are many memorials and monuments within the cemetery now. Some include: Tomb of the Unknowns, USS Maine Mast Memorial, Challenger Memorial (space shuttle), Laos Memorial, and Women in Military Service Memorial.
