Black Whiskey is an unpretentious, laid-back, multi-purpose bar on 14th Street. Unlike its ever-trendy Logan and Dupont neighbors, this unassuming dive is a as cool-without-trying as its Brooklyn-born owner. With an upstairs barroom and a sidewalk-level space too, Black Whiskey hosts all kinds of events from art installations to birthdays.
For starters, there are over 70 whiskeys for patrons to experience. The bar is like one of the old-time carvery pubs of England, so when it comes to padding your stomach whilst consuming all that whiskey, there are daily plates of meats and vegetables. They host happy hour 6 days a week, boasting PBR cans and a shot of choice for $6.
Try to get in early if you want to claim the vintage pool table in the back of the barroom!
