Why locals love it

Known around town as a "friendly place to get down", this 90s staple in DC nightlife has been keeping young folks grooving for decades now. Housed in a converted DuPont townhouse, the various rooms serve different vibes at any given moment during the night. Spinning DJs, cocktails, and many rooms make for an adventure every time.

Why you should visit it

With antique sofas, candlelight, an outdoor patio, there's plenty of intimate space for resting your dancing shoes and having a conversation, making ESL different than other premiere house parties. Each of the different rooms hosts a different sound, a different tone: Gold Room, Main Room, Jazz Bar, Studio Bar, and Deck Bar.

Special tip

PROPER ATTIRE REQUIRED. Check the dress code online to be sure you're chic enough for entry.

Good chill place. Music is more 90s electic—not so dancy.
