Consistently voted the best, if not one of the best, restaurants in DC, Komi is a foodie heaven. Despite being $135 a head, it's nearly impossible to get into Komi--the food and the experience is that good. The meal begins with mezzethakia (Mediterranean small plates), and progresses to a pasta and entree, followed by dessert.
It would be difficult to be regular at Komi, but it is worth it for an occasion, even if the occasion is finally being able to eat at Komi. The food is outstanding and their are (for a price) wine pairings to go with the menu. The menu changes daily if not seasonally, guaranteeing the freshest of local ingredients.
Seriously, book ahead because it's a small restaurant on its way to a Michelin star...
