Why locals love it

Zaytinya is celebrity chef, José Andrés' take on Eastern Mediterranean food (mostly of the Norther Greek and Turkish vernacular). Despite the high-end quality, the price point is substantially lower than it could be as the menu philosophy is that of the Eastern Mediterranean: mezedes, or, small plates.

Why you should visit it

Zaytinya has an airy feel, as though you were in a Grecian grotto. With regional wines, an exacting menu, and that lightness, it's a perfect place for a business meeting midday or a date in the evening--any night of the week. Besides the great service, they are known for many specialties: octopus, lamb, kebab, horta, and all the authentic favs.

Special tip

Don't miss out on the keftedes.

Great choices and changing menu. A bit on the pricey upscale side but great to share with a small group. Easy to get to location. Something fir everyone
