Why locals love it
It's the first museum in Croatia financed by a successful crowdfunding campaign to which numerous citizens contributed besides funds also personal photos and stories. Furthermore, a portion of all tickets sold will be donated to refugees and victims of war.

Why you should visit it
Not only is the aim to make people aware of the devastating consequences of war, but also to offer a platform for dialogue as well as to educate visitors through the medium of photography. The first exhibition "Up Close and Personal: War in Croatia" shows photos from 1991 to 1995 taken by professional photographers, as well as amateurs.
Special tip
The ecological shirts at the souvenir shop are made by Humana Nova, an organization employing disabled and other socially-excluded people.
