Private Zagreb City Tour

This tour will take you into the charming worlds of two very different cities: the modern, urban, and vibrant capital, and the historical and cultural Zagreb that grew alongside its Austrian counterpart – Vienna.
Duration 3 hours
Private tour available in English
Group tour pricing from 50 EUR per person
Don´t miss the opportunity to have your private tour. The beauty of it is that you can stop and ask questions, visit or skip the landmarks, take pictures when you want, buy something without delaying the rest of the tour. Marco was great, well educated in history and anecdotes of the city. I really enjoyed the tour. From now on, I will consult first likealocal, before I book a tour.

Highlights

Get to know both historical and modern Zagreb

Take a ride on the funicular

Visit the Museum of Broken Relationships

Discover the famous Dolac Market with a local

Experience our favourite pastime: drinking coffee at one of the many street cafés in the city centre

Description

The tour begins with a ride on the funicular, which connects downtown Zagreb with the Upper Town. Spanning just 66 metres, it’s the shortest of its kind in the world.

We’ll take a historical walk through the Upper Town, passing alleyways, monuments, charming palaces, and the famous St Mark’s Church. We’ll also visit the Museum of Broken Relationships.

Afterwards, we’ll walk downtown to visit the Zagreb Cathedral and Dolac, Croatia’s biggest farmers market. Here, you can experience the country’s gastronomic and cultural diversity. All of your senses will be magically activated! Unlike most markets, Dolac is open seven days a week.

We’ll then continue our walk, exploring the vibrant streets, parks, and squares of central Zagreb. You’ll have the opportunity to try out our favourite pastime: drinking coffee at one of the numerous street cafés in the city centre.
