This tour takes you to some of Zagreb’s most famous sights, but the stories attached are very different from those you’d hear on a typical walking tour of the city.

Learn about Croatia’s ancient “reptilian” folklore, see sculpted snakes and dragons, and hear a few interesting facts about the strangest society around.

According to local legend, there are tunnels beneath medieval Zagreb leading to the mysterious mountaintop castle of Medvedgrad. For centuries, somewhere deep inside these tunnels, a cursed snake queen has been jealously guarding the lost treasure of Medvedgrad. This is just one of the many "reptilian" legends of Zagreb...
