Why locals love it
If you've been to Budapest and know what a Ruin Pub is, then you'll get the analogy here. This is a huge pub on three floors which literally sweats personality: it has an old Rock n' Roll atmosphere, their own brew beer for 5 CHF, and sweet 60's music in the background. Important football matches are projected in the top floor.
Why you should visit it
It is the Mecca of the alternative/underground people in Zürich. You'll get it as soon as you walk in, since the walls are covered by pieces of random art: a framed picture of Muhammad Ali, a 5-meter long skeleton statue hanging from the ceiling, old math theorems, soap advertising posters... Plus, it offers cheap beer and hot dogs.
Special tip
Don't show up with too many people in winter weekend time, since the place will be full. However, during the summer, there are tables outside.
