Even amongst locals, this beautifully painted entrance hall isn't very well know. It's hidden behind a simple wooden door of one of the city's police buildings. Still it's the most fiery vault you'll ever come to see. Thank painter Augusto Giacometti who has prettified it around 1924.
Until the early 19th century, this building was home to an orphanage. When the city decided to convert it to a district office, then city council Emil Klötli decided it's too vaulty and lacks light. He contracted Giacometti to make it shine, and now shine it does!
