hi there,

we ll be in switzerland soon IA (2 adults and 2 kids). our travel itinerary is as follows:

geneva 2 days, gstaad 2 days, interlaaken 3 days and finally zurich 3 days (we intend to to make a day trip to lucerne while in zurich). all by train. so do we need to get a swiss train travel pass?

which one would suit us?

or should be buy train tickects from point A to B?

Here is the link to the SBB website - which is the train/bus/ferry service in Switzerland. And for sure, you should probably buy some type of pass (as it would be much cheaper / more convenient) than buying tickets from A to B each time.

Another alternative would be to buy the halb tax (half price) pass. This is around chf 165/per person - but allows you half price travel tickets to most destinations (including using cable cars). So it should easily pay for itself with the amount of travel you mention above.
