Escaping the bustling Bucharest to Brasov, the heart and soul of Transylvania, is tempting. This city located in the middle of the picturesque Carpathian mountain range has it’s own relaxed rythm. The tiny cafes , the surprising side-streets, the amazingly friendly locals. Brasov is the home to the oldest school in Romania as well as the biggest university in Transylvania. This is a sure stop to absorb the culture filled with legends and castles: most famous of the previous is Bran village located close to Brasov (known for the story of Dracula). Brasov’s old town is well-preserved and the locals love it. This city will greet you with open arms – either you are a tourist, a student or a traveller going through Romania with a backpack and a smile.
