Why locals love it?

Many who visit Tallinn never leave the Old Town, and we can't understand why. Walk out of the medieval centre and past the central train station, to find yourself in a new world. The historic Kalamaja district has charming wooden architecture and many hidden wonders - like Boheem, for example. We love this place.

Why you should visit it

Away from the busy centre you'll be able to enjoy a quiet afternoon and dive deep into the slow pace of the neighbourhood. Soak up the vibe right here. We suggest you get yourself a pancake, be it sweet or savory, and brace yourself for a day of exploration in one of Tallinn's more curious areas.

Special tip

If you want to eat pancakes like Estonian, ask for "hapukoor" as a sauce.

Horrible costumer service! When I sent back their Caesar's salad (the salad was soggy, there was too much dressing, no parmesan and lots of olives) I was met with rude comments from the waiter about how the salad is a customer favourite and it's just how they do it. I was not offered a new meal nor an apology. When I went to pay for my drink, the same waiter told me that they didn't have to treat me with respect, that I should have asked in advance about what the salad would contain (there was nothing in the menu about it being a "special" Caesar's salad) and that they would forgive me this time and not make me pay for the salad, but that I should know better next time.
