Why locals love it?
The “Eesti Käsitöö” stores have stayed true to the idea of Estonian culture being deeply rooted in the soil of the old homesteads and farms. This is also apparent in the “rural and rough” apparel they offer, with different items of clothing drawing upon different regional designs.
Why you should visit it
You won't really find one unique item in the Estonian culture that people associate with the country, unlike say, Russia with it's “matrjoshkas” (which incidentally are abundant on the streets of Tallinn). Estonian handicraft is all about wooden spoons, woven mittens and ceramic cups.
Special tip
Eesti Käsitöö means the same as Estonian Handicraft, so don't miss the sign!
