Why locals love it

What could be a more inspiring setting for Uus Maailm's community café than a 100-year-old wooden house with restored stoves and old furniture? While the food is a bit richer than it was in the old days, the café still has the distinct feel of a grandma's house complete with old furniture that most of us recognise.

Why you should visit it

Kohalik ("Local") is as local as it gets, although you could mistake the food for that of a fancy restaurant judging by its freshness and quality. Despite the professional cooking, this place is surprisingly inexpensive and attracts a mixed crowd both inside the building and out on the terrace.

Special tip

They even have their own fisherman – the famous Estonian football player Raio Piiroja!
