Why locals love it?

It's a zoo. Like, with animals and all that. It has... let's see here. Elephants, seals, buffaloes, tigers – yeah, pretty much all the usual suspects. They have birds. Lots of birds. They also have that fellow that goes “baa”, but is not a sheep. We don't know what it is.

Why you should visit it

It's certainly not as impressive as some of the others we've seen, but that's kind of the point. As the dwindling number of visitors means that the place has to work extra hard to improve the living conditions of the animals. Some of the cages have a very distinct Soviet feel to them. So go ahead and visit it. Do it for the snakes.

The big letters of Z, O and O outside are one of the most photographed places by families with children.
