Just returned from a week in Amsterdam and went on a Hungry Birds Food Tour. Our guide was Zosia and she led us on a wonderful food tour of Amsterdam. We ate our way through 10-12 different food experiences ranging from Febo's (traditional Dutch) to a hidden secret garden where we ate a delightful Indonesian chicken soup. It was by far our best tour in Amsterdam and a must see for anyone visiting this delightful city.

Description

At Hungry Birds, we believe in honest flavours, beautiful stories and a friendly approach. Inspired by a love of street food, we created a fun and delicious experience that connects local food producers with food lovers from all over the world. Our aim is to introduce you to everyday life in Amsterdam and share the tasty and uncomplicated dishes of the city.

During your 3.5-hour journey you’ll visit places that we believe shape the soul and character of Amsterdam. Each location has been carefully selected, taking into account its food, approach and story. You’ll be treated to 8–10 different handpicked Dutch and colonial specialties – from sweet to savoury to spicy – at the city’s best eateries.

We keep our groups personal and small, allowing everyone the opportunity to get involved instead of simply following a crowd.

We’re very happy to welcome you on a Hungry Birds street food adventure!

Zosia, Esther-Hanna and Rachael.

Loved our tour - one of the highlights of our trip! Zosia was engaging and well informed, the places we visited were interesting and the food was great!
We recently went on a Sunday tour with Rachel and 8 other enthusiastic foodies. It was a truly great experience not to be missed. Not only did we get a 4 hour walking tour around Amsterdam, but we got to taste an impressive cross section of the awesome food Amsterdam has to offer. This is a tour for people who enjoy trying new foods and are open to expanding their foodie horizons. If you don't like trying new things, then this may not be for you. I'm not sure why anyone would spend money for a foodie tour and not want to try everything. That's kind of the point of the whole thing - expanding your culinary horizons and learning a culture through its cuisine. Rachel was a great guide and very friendly. I would highly recommend this tour.
