We booked two tours with In Out Barcelona, and I wished I would have found them sooner! They are the only tour company that will pick you up and drop you off without charging an extra fee. We were lucky to have the same guide, Mariusz, for both tours. We were even luckier that we were the only 2 people on both tours. The company did not charge more because we were the only ones that booked the tour. We did theory tour of Barcelona with entry into Sagrada Familia and Park Guell. This was a great tour, and Mariusz had us everywhere on time. The castle tour was neat, and Mariusz went through the salt mine because the tour was only offered in Spanish. Both were great days, and I definitely recommend In Out Barcelona if you are visiting Barcelona.

Description

Our expert guide will pick you up at your hotel in a comfortable private minivan and drive you to Cardona. This town is located 100 kilometres from Barcelona in the heart of Catalonia. Here, you’ll be introduced to one of the most important salt deposits in the world, Salt Mountain.

The salt mine opened its doors in 1929 and was once one of the most important salt mines on the planet. You’ll go 86 metres down into the mountain and see incredible stalactite and stalagmite formations, and the colourful folds and seams of the stone.

After admiring this beautiful place, you’ll visit the historical centre of Cardona. Cardona has been the scene of some of the most important battles in our history. Walking through its streets and visiting the castle is like travelling back in time. The Castle of Cardona is one of the best-preserved castles in Spain.

In 1714, during the War of Spanish Succession, it was an impregnable fortress, and even later its citadel could not be taken by Napoleon.

If you want to discover the hidden treasures of Catalan geography, history and architecture, we recommend you choose this unique trip to Cardona.

Cardona and Salt Mountains
We were travelling with Mariusz as our tour guide and I can tell that the experience was amazing. The Salt Mines are incredible! 100% recommended. Mariusz has a huge knowledge about everything that we asked for. Not only Cardona (the city that we visited) but about all Catalonia region. Even, he gave us some ideas to do in Barcelona by our own.
Spectacular
This trip was well worth it. Away from the city you see amazing views of Catalunya. The salt mountain was spectacular, it's definitely worth seeing. My family loved every part of the trip. Our tour guide Mauriusz was very helpful and knowledgeable. They picked us up at our apartment and kindly dropped us off at the restaurant we were wanting to go to in the evening.
