ITINERARY
On this tour, we will be exploring the Ciutat Vella (Old Town) of Barcelona, made up of three different neighborhoods: El Born, the Gothic Quarter and Call Jueu (the Jewish Quarter). We'll first visit the Santa Caterina Market to discover stalls of fresh local produce. Next, I'll take you to some gourmet shops selling artisanal products. Finally, we'll stop at some of my favorite tapas bars, for a bite to eat and local wine, beer or cava.
MORE ABOUT THE TOUR
We'll learn all about Catalunya's rich culinary traditions by exploring authentic local gastronomy in the heart of the historic center. To learn about regional products, like tomatoes, peas and salt-cured codfish, we'll visit the Santa Caterina Market.
We'll head out to the Gothic Quarter and Call Jueu (Jewish Quarter) to visit artisanal food shops, specialized in wines, cheeses and top quality olive oils.
Next, I'll show you two of my favorite places to enjoy tapas, and you'll get to see how local ingredients are prepared to make these delicious snacks.
