Happy Experience
I booked an e-bike tour with Agata. When I arrived I was welcomed warmly. Our group proceeded to a nice lounge area where she gave us clear instructions. We did a bike test run and then began the tour around the city. The views were incredible and Agata explained the history of each location. She also let us explore around to appreciate the views of the landmarks and take pictures.

I enjoyed chatting with her, she's was friendly, engaging and smart. I will be booking another tour with her on my next trip to Barcelona. Thank you, Agata, for giving me the best tour of the city!.

Great experience, wonderful people, fun night out with our kids!
What a fun night! Veronica, Cali and the rest of the crew welcomed us and our kids with warmth and kindness into their lovely kitchen, where we spent a fun evening cooking the most delicious meal. Cali was spectacular. I loved learning some of her special family recipes (the meatballs!!), and my kids felt right at home. After 10 days of restaurant eating on our vacation, this was a welcome change of pace. Surprisingly relaxing and full of laughs. Thank you for a fantastic evening! Highly recommend!!

Fun, Food, And Wine
So glad I booked this. Even though I was pretty much dead from being awake for 27 hours of traveling. My mother and I still came out and had a great experience. Our guide, Alejandro, was sociable, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. He ran into a hotel lobby to get my mother a map of the city. And he spoke very good English.
We walked to four tapas places. Everything was great. Especially the place with the fried sardines. Those were the highlight. At one of the places they served a charcuterie dish and one of the people in the group didn't eat meat but they accommodated him. Which I thought was cool. Between food and drink we made short stops where he told us about history and facts about the area. Glad we didn't cancel because we had a memorable time!

Great Experience
This was one of the best tours we took while on our Spain adventure. We met the chef, Yves, at the market where he showed us around and explained what our choices for our meal would be. We decided on a main course and some sides and after picking up the required ingredients, Yves took us to his home on a hill overlooking the city. We started off with a welcome drink on his rooftop patio with an amazing view. Then we all went down to the kitchen where he gave us aprons and we all helped cook our meal. The food was wonderful, Yves' house is amazing and we all enjoyed the meal and the company. We would highly recommend this tour and will definitely do it again if we ever go back to Barcelona.

Perfect start of our Barcelona visit
We booked a private Born to Eat tapas tour on our first night in Barcelona. Marwa was our tour guide, and she was excellent! Even though the booking said maximum 8 people, she was able to have the whole group of ten people. We visited several great places for food and drinks, and Marwa was very knowledgeable about food, wine and the history of Barcelona. She also gave us some great suggestions on where to go for shopping, food and drinks during our stay. This was the perfect start of our Barcelona visit, and we highly recommend this tour to anyone that may visit Barcelona! Thanks again, will be back for more next time!

Phenomenal
I love being outdoors, so, I expected this to be good. Well, it exceeded my expectations. Ferran has knowledge AND experience. He contacted me before the hike to find out if I had a particular interest and my fitness level. On the hike, he shared with me interesting facts about the area and he made sure I was safe and that I felt comfortable.

I definitely recommend it! I got the physical challenge I was looking for, I took breathtaking pictures (I tried), and I experienced an unexpected sense of peace and joy. I LOVED IT!
Montserrat Mountain Hike from Barcelona
Not to be missed!
We had a wonderful experience with Chef Yves! First we did a tour of the market where Chef Yves explained everything about the local produce. He suggested numerous dishes that we could prepare (all sounded amazing!) and once we chose what we wanted, we bought the products and drove to his house for the cooking experience. We ended up preparing - a steak with foie gras, razor clams, artichokes with squid and monkfish in the oven. All tasted great and we are going to try cooking the artichokes today for dinner at home :)

Spectacular
This trip was well worth it. Away from the city you see amazing views of Catalunya. The salt mountain was spectacular, it's definitely worth seeing. My family loved every part of the trip. Our tour guide Mauriusz was very helpful and knowledgeable. They picked us up at our apartment and kindly dropped us off at the restaurant we were wanting to go to in the evening.

Must do upon arrival!
This was an awesome way to get an intro to Barcelona. Our guide was awesome and gave us the perfect mixture of history of the food and landmarks we were seeing. We got to see the 3 mains areas of the old part of town so it was a great way to get to know the city center.

This was A LOT of food! We were definitely stuffed at the end.

Tour to hidden gems
Barcelona is bike-friendly so don’t hesitate to explore the city by bicycle -especially if you have a guide like Edu. Being born and raised in Barcelona he gave us an amazing insight into the history of his city, leed us to hidden places - avoiding the overcrowded touristy areas. Pace was easy, city-bikes were in good condition.

We had a really lovely guide Tanit, who took us to some great venues and also shared some history of the town along the way. She had great knowledge of the food and wine and was able to answer any questions. Would recommend this tour!

This trip was a delight. My wife, my daughter and I were the only ones on this tour on a Tuesday in early April. We all had a very good time and recommend it.

Victor was our guide. While he drove us, Victor told us a lot about Dali’s life. As a result, in addition to learning about Dali the artist, we also learned about Dali the man.

I break the trip into three parts.

First, we drove from Barcelona to the Dali House in Port Lligat. You need to make reservations in advance and you have to get there on time. At the house, Victor was permitted to take the three of us through the Dali house by ourselves. So we basically had a private tour. Victor gave us a lot of insight into Dali and Gala. We enjoyed the house, the echo room, and the gorgeous view of the sea. Victor gave us time to explore the garden on our own, and that was very nice.

Second we drove to Cadaques and ate lunch at Casa Nun. We sat outside by the water. For lunch we had pumpkin and carrot cream soup, house wine, grilled cod and salmon, dessert and espresso. The food was excellent. Because it was such a warm, sunny day, Victor gave us some time to sit by the beach and walk around town. We were very happy with our lunch and found Cadaques to be a pretty town.

After lunch, we drove to the Dali Teatre Museum in Figueres. The museum, which was designed by Dali, was worth visiting. The art was well displayed.

Even though this is an expensive tour, you should keep in mind that the price includes tickets to both museums and lunch. Also, I often rent a car when we travel. I’m glad that I didn’t drive, because once you get off the main road, the drive to and from Port Lligat and Cadaques is difficult. It is hilly, the roads are winding, and you have to watch out for bicycles and slow traffic. By not driving, I was able to appreciate the spectacular views. Also, parking in all three towns is clearly a pain, and by not driving, I didn’t have to deal with that.

Cardona and Salt Mine Tour
Overall a great day! We specifically came to Barcelona to book a day trip to Cardona and Salt Mountain. Communication with the tour operator was excellent, they were very quick to respond and professional. Our tour guide was also professional and kind, arriving at the specified time (9am). He was also very accommodating asking about car seats for the kids, advising what parts may not be suitable for those who are less mobile, and helping out when some of the passengers got car sick. Unfortunately the day of our tour there were protests/strikes all over the state. Our driver did his best to go around it all to get to our destinations. We had to miss out on the salt mines and entering Cardona Castle. We were able to walk around the castle, but as i mentioned, we came to Barcelona specifically to visit Cardona, so this was a disappointment. No fault of the tour operator as the protests and strikes were not in their control. I was expecting a walking tour of the town of Cardona or maybe a bit more history of the Castle and town, but we didn’t get that. Instead of the Salt Mines we went to Monserrat, which was beautiful and a lovely replacement for the Salt Mines. We were brought back as close to our hotel as possible (due to the demonstrations), around 3:30 pm, so the tour was no where near 11 hours long (but again, mostly due to missing out on some attractions due to the strike). Overall, I would definitely recommend this tour operator, just keep the lines of communication open as per your expectations.

We toured with Spanish Trails last year and loved it. But this year's tours blew us away! We did the All Things Dalí tour and the Priorat Wine tour with the lovely Saskia guiding both. It was impressive to see her change gears from one day to the next and be so knowledgeable and passionate about both the art and life of Dalí and then to be able to teach and show us so much about the Priorat wine region. One visits way north to the Costa Brava and the other heads south to a completely different climate and landscape.

On the Dalí tour both the Dalí house in Port Lligat and the museum in Figueres were fascinating. Saskia really brought the life of Dalí out to help us appreciate both. The stop in Cadaques for strolling and lunch was a really nice touch to the day. It's a quaint, white washed, coastal artist colony of sorts with a lot of history. Getting to Cadaques by ourselves was not going to be easy and we weren't big Dalí fans, but we are now!

The Priorat region is one of the most beautiful and different wine regions we've ever visited. We enjoyed really great food and about 10 excellent wines. If you're in to full-bodied wines then this is not to be missed. Both are the more expensive tours Spanish Trails offers, but even as private tours, they were still cheaper than other tour companies AND included a lot more in the day. We could not recommend these experiences enough!

Thank you, Saskia!

Highlight of our visit to Barcelona
Can't recommend this tour enough!
My family and I (there's 5 of us) were very keen to do a walking tapas and wine tasting tour during our short visit to Barcelona. We wanted to make sure we did a tour that wasn't too long, not too much walking, but plenty of tasty food and drink and I can honestly say Wanderbeak has hit the nail on the head with the tour that they offer! We were taken around the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona where we were given interesting information about the history, culture and local traditions, taken to unassuming but fabulous typical Spanish restaurants which we would never have thought to go in ourselves but I'm so glad we got to experience it, and tasted an array of different types of Spanish cuisines and deserts! To top all of that off, our guide Rowan was fab, very personable and chatty with a great sense of humour. He made the tour interesting and it is obvious a lot of time and thought has been invested into providing the best possible experience for tourists. I will definitely be recommending this as a MUST DO to any of my friends that travel to Barcelona!

Amazing workshop
We are a family of 4 (10 and 14 yr olds) who wanted a unique experience in Barcelona, so booked the Gaudí Tour & Mosaic Workshop and it was AMAZING! Christian started us off with a walking tour of some of Gaudí's (Casa Mila, Casa Batllo) and works by other architects of his time. He gave us a great overview of Gaudí--answering every one of our questions--and made the walking tour interesting to all 4 of us (not an easy feat, as it was booked on our second day there and we were jetlagged). Then he dropped us off at Angelika's studio where we could have stayed for hours working on our mosaics. All four of us were TOTALLY engaged in our projects. The best thing about this tour is you go home with both more knowledge of the city and one of its most famous architects and an amazing souvenir that you've made yourself. We LOVED this experience and would highly recommend it to everyone who wants something really special from Barcelona. Thanks so much, Christian and Angelika. You made our stay extra special!

Four of us took the Barcelona ebike tour. Our guide, Agata met us on time at the appointed location with a smile. The bikes were ready to go with helmets and water for us.
Agata guided us around three separate districts concentrating on the architecture and Gaudi but pointing out interesting sites and facts about the various districts in the old town and the new areas along with some of the history. She was helpful in pointing out places worth going back to and which were better seen with advance reservations as well as making us a list of places to eat and drink after.
The bikes are great. They are in well kept condition, adjust and pedal easy. The electric motor is easy to use and can be used as much or little as wanted. Some of us used the boost, some not. Agata kept a pace everyone could follow, was mindful of traffic and hard to negotiate places, giving us plenty of warning.
I highly recommend this tour as an alternative way of getting a good orientation to the city.
