Located in Piaţa Romană, where all the roads lead, “Casandra” cakes and pastry shop was established in 1960 and still has its own traditional recipes from natural ingredients. They offer a wide choice of puff pastry with cheese or spinach, homemade cheese or apple pies, as well as layered cakes and fancy cakes.

Why you should visit it
Casandra is a great location for a break while exploring Bucharest. It has a little terrace where you can enjoy your coffee with a quick snack or a light dessert, while you check the map for the next destination or just relax and observe the passers-by in the bustle of the city.
Special tip
They are famous for their vanilla slice (Crèmeschnitte) recipe. Here you can also find the traditional Romanian holiday sweet bread “cozonac”.
