First of all, it is the story that attracts: the place is an old house belonging to the Magda (aka Elena) Lupescu, the mistress of King Carol II of Romania. Secondly, the building is representative for the Neo-Romanian architecture style. Thirdly, the food is excellent.

It is an awesome place, easy to reach, near the Piața Iancului subway stop. You will be surprised by the beauty of the house, equaled by the food-taste. Here you can enjoy Romanian traditional food (for instance: smoked beef pastrami, Romanian sausages, traditional ”telemea” cheese, pork and beef mince rolled in cabbage leaves ”sarmale”).
This is where you can eat one of the best cheese pies in town.
