This museum is a must see for all art lovers, who may admire one of the most comprehensive and valuable art collections in Romania. Krikor Zambaccian (1889-1962) - the founding father of the museum - was an art collector, a good friend of many Romanian painters and artists of his time and a true patron of arts.

Hosted in Zambaccian's beautiful Mediterranean style villa - opened to the public in 1942 - the museum boast some of the most representative Romanian paintings by Corneliu Baba, Aman, Grigorescu, Luchian, Tonitza and also a few paintings by French impressionists - Delacroix, Renoir, Sisley, Cézanne, Matisse, Utrillo.
The highlight of the exhibition: a painting by Picasso!
