Lounge & food bar off the beaten track

Ota

Why locals love it

For years this semi-basement has been the host of memorable parties, without being listed as a club or having a name (Ota is actually the owner’s name). Now it is more popular and has shifted to a lounge bar, serving homemade international dishes like Harira soup or chicken Saag. Open on Wednesdays and Thursdays, often hosting parties on Fridays.

Why you should visit it

The moment you enter Ota’s kitchen and grab a bowl from the counter to be filled with the soup of the week (for 10 lei) and sit at the communal table, you’ll know you had a truly local experience. In summer you can sit back and enjoy the cozy terrace, where you can join the local creative crowd for a chat, a bite and a drink at affordable prices.

Special tip

Right above Ota, you can find Galeria 26 - a Contemporary art gallery - and up in the attic a yoga studio.
