After meeting at the Herăstrău Park metro entrance at Charles de Gaulle Square, we’ll drive to the Prahova Valley and begin our off-road adventure. The Prahova Valley is the most popular tourist area in Romania and a key destination for winter sports lovers.
Once we reach the Bucegi Mountains Plateau, we’ll explore our surroundings in the company of Romanian natives who’ll share interesting facts about the local history, geography, flora and fauna. The Bolboci Lake, also called “the Black Sea from Bucegi”, is situated at an altitude of 1438 metres – the views from up there are truly spectacular.
The next attraction on our itinerary is the beautiful Scropoasa Lake, situated at an altitude of 1197 metres in the Ialomita Valley. We'll then visit the traditional and picturesque villages of Măgura and Peştera, where we'll see shepherds who live in isolation for most of the year, relying on specially trained dogs to protect them from wolf and bear attacks.
Throughout the tour you’ll be amazed by the gorgeous landscapes of the Piatra Craiului and Bucegi Mountains.
We’ll return to Bucharest in the evening.
