This riverside oasis is surrounded by factories and blind alleys making its popularity a bit surrealistic. In spite of the abundance of concrete in the area they seem to have managed to summon the atmosphere of a seaside holiday resort. Orders have to be made at red, converted, English double-deckers and sand covers the floor under the tables.
From spring to autumn, they offer a refreshing refugee from the heat of the city center. You should come here by bike to enjoy one of their concert evenings or football game screenings when relevant. They sell divine lángos (Hungarian fried dough) with a variaty of optional toppings, their pancake and wheat beer on tap is also perfect.
During tide there can be hundreds of midges and mosquitos so try to avoid such periods.
