Amazing Museum
We would highly recommend visiting this Chocolate Museum while in Budapest.Just an amazing place with so much history. Our tour guide was so welcoming and friendly. We had many tastings, made our own chocolate tart and had a wonderful sit down chocolate cake with drinks. We made our own way by public transport from the city centre and it was easy to find. Great experience and highly recommended.

I was in Budapest recently and was definitely wanting to take a Danube cruise. Seeing a city from the river that runs through it is always such an awesome site.

Of course there are plenty of companies offering river cruises in Budapest and of course also night time party cruises. I'm not much of a party person or atleast not like in my younger years, but aquaintances who've been to the Hungarian capital said that the nightlife especially in the summer is not something to be left out.

So I let my friend talk me into taking the Party on the Danube cruise. It's a little pricey and the ticket only includes a welcome drink (however, I must note that additional drinks come at very reasonable prices), but the nightime view of Budapest from the Danube is totally worth it. It was great to kick back with an ice cold beer after a long day of sightseeing and just enjoy the gorgeaous view of the city.

After the cruise they take you to a club, where we actually ended up staying for most of the night. The ship docks at Margaret Island where the club is, which isn't a cheesy pop disco, more like an artsy, alternative bar. Also it was very easy to get a cab back to the hotel from there. I'd definitely go back to that club if ever visiting Budapest again in the summer and I'd also recommend the Party on the Danube cruise as a great way to unwind with a breathtaking view.

Wonderful tour with great guide
We did the Jewish Grand Tour with Petra. She was fabulous, and the tour was great. I was initially concerned as Petra is not Jewish (although her great-grandfather (I think) was), but she was very knowledgeable about the area and the history of the Jews in Budapest and Hungary. Petra was engaging and had a good sense of humor (only when appropriate). I am very glad I had the opportunity to see the Dohany Synagogue and the other parts of the complex.. I was particularly moved by the Weeping Willow (Holocaust) memorial. The Museum was interesting -note that Petra was not our guide on this part of the tour but turned us over to a Museum guide who was quite good. We also went to an Orthodox synagogue, which was beautiful and interesting. In addition to being a great guide, Petra gave us advice about what else to see in Budapest, which was quite helpful. I highly recommend the Grand Tour and Petra.

I got a chance to see a Hungarian folk dancing performance last weekend in Budapest. What a fun show it was! I'd read before that it was one of the must see things in Hungary, so my husband and I booked tickets ahead over the internet. This evening it was the Hungaria Gypsy Orchestra and Folk Ensemble who performed, (I read somewhere that they are the most famous Hungarian folk dance group.) The theater itself is richly ornamented and all around impressive. The dancers and musicians gave such an energetic performance, you can see that these are really talented and dedicated people who are preserving a unique art. If you're ever in Hungary, go see a folk dance show!

Wonderful experience at the chocolate museum
We loved our trip to the chocolate museum. We took a taxi from the city center. It was about a 25 minute drive. Our tour guide, Erika gave us a wonderful tour. We learned the history of chocolate in Hungary. There is a great display of chocolate packaging over the last hundred years. We got to make our own chocolate tarts. There were plenty of chocolate samples during the tour. The tour ended with tea and more samples of chocolate. The museum is located in a beautiful renovated residence. Erika was very knowledgeable it was a delight to take her tour. If you love chocolate you will enjoy this experience. Highly recommended!

Excellent
Although it took some time to locate the group who were joining our walking tour, once we got going it was very good, with Borsca a knowledgeable guide. First the museum, with a good outline of Jewish traditions and holidays, and then the Great Synagogue. The cemetery and gardens are a reminder of a dark period of history which must never be forgotten. As part of the Grand Tour, we then walked through the Jewish Quarter, now home to many trendy cafes and bars, a beautiful Art Nouveau Synagogue, finishing up with cake. Highly recommended.

We were on a cruise last week in the afternoon and it was lovely. We got the chance to see Budapest during the day and "night". The boat was nice and the stuff were kind and the drinks were yummi. The girls and reception were lovely, counting the fact that we were with a baby and lot of people don't tolerate well the breastfeading.I wanna thank you all, escpecially to the 2 tall girls who accompanied us during the cruise. I absolutely recommend this program to my friends it's enjoyable with kids.

We learned so much
We were picked up at our hotel by Alex, a very courteous and informative tour guide. He answered all our questions and didn't overwhelm us with info and we learned so Much!!! Interesting was the fact his grandparents had lived thru the Holocaust, some in the ghetto and some in hiding. We visited the synagogue and gardens, the ghetto, parliament and also the Shoes on the Danube monument. I would highly recommend this tour as part of your Budapest trip.

We booked to go on this tour during a 4 day City Break and we weren't disappointed. The music was far above our expectations for such a small boat and the food was plentiful and delicious. Coming in from the pouring rain, it was lovely to sit on an already warm boat for a good hour and a half with spectacular views of Budapest from the river at night. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and we would highly recommend this trip.

A
Had a fantastic time, the staff were excellent. The food was amazing, a hot buffet so you can have as much or as little as you want. We had a glass of champagne when we went aboard, then wine or beer with the meal! Desserts were to die for!!! Serenaded by a trio, with cello, violin and guitar! Excellent night, finished off with a walk on the top deck to see the amazing night scenery!!!!

Amazing Tour With Patricia
What an incredible tour with a fabulous tour guide, Patricia. The information provided was outstanding. We extended our tour with Patricia for an extra hour and a half, and saw the Jewish Quarter in depth. Patricia went above and beyond, pointing out places of interest in a knowledgeable and humorous way.
I would highly recommend this tour.

Fun
Andrea was a well-informed, kind and engaging guide. And she kept bringing us chocolate! We went in a small group and it was a delightful way to see the museum and find out about the history of chocolate in Budapest. It was well worth the jaunt out of the city center. It was more fun than either I or my daughter imagined.

Spectacular venue hosts excellent concert.
The basilica was truly magnificent and the acoustics for the concert were excellent, far exceeding our expectations. The organ pieces, while very good on their own, were enhanced by the beauty of the basilica. We had a great time and would recommend this concert.

Hungarian Concert Gala experience
The Gala concert was everything that I hoped it to be. First off it is in a spectacular setting - worth a visit on its own. The music and dance covered a lot of musical territory and was I very impressed by the performers It was a wonderful evening out.

The orchestra and dance company work tirelessly to show off their talent. Hungarian music and dance are showcased. There is no doubt that these are along the top artists in Hungary. The time flies and you'll be wishing it went on longer.
