Description

Upon entering the 120-year-old building, you’ll immediately be greeted by the true Hungarian spirit. Friendly vendors will offer tastings as your guide gives you a brief introduction to the Hungarian kitchen, explains the market etiquette, and leads you to the best stands.

Enjoy hearty tastings of homemade local goods and meet the people who produced them.

Sample warm scones with several Hungarian salamis, such as winter salami, mangalica salami, and a super-spicy one if you’re feeling courageous. Cleanse your palate with some Hungarian pickles, then head for the lángos, melons, and maybe even some more pickles!

To ensure you don’t leave with a sour taste in your mouth, you’ll be guided to the market’s sweetest stand to try some homemade jams (plum, lavender…) Here, you’ll also get the chance to taste famous local mushroom and truffle creams.

As the cherry on top, you’ll be treated to the finest strudels you’ve ever tasted, handmade on the spot by a Hungarian grandma.
