Description

The history of Unicum, one of Hungary’s most famous liqueurs, is entangled in mystery. We know that it contains a blend of more than 40 herbs and spices, but the exact recipe remains a Zwack family secret to this day.

Upon arrival at the museum, you’ll watch a short film presenting the incredible story of Unicum and the Zwack dynasty. You’ll then be invited on an audio-guided tour around the factory, which traces the turbulent history of this centuries-old bitter. Afterwards, further fascinating details will be revealed in the depths of the factory cellars.

Together with a professional guide, visitors can explore the labyrinth of casks where the liqueurs are aged and sample them fresh from the barrel! The tasting includes 3 different varieties: the original Unicum, Unicum Plum, the latest addition to the Unicum family, and the truly sumptuous Unicum Riserva, which is matured in barrels that survived WWII.
