A small dirt road turns from Torniontie (E8), which leads to the P-place. The road is about 1.5 miles long and bouncy, but at least now it was more or less in driving condition. The route is well marked. The trees have both orange and red paint marks. From time to time there were also wooden benches along the route.

The easiest way to get to Pallasjärvi is to drive by car to Hirvaslahti or Pallaslompolo. Both have camping possibilities available. The Fell Lapland region in Muonio was a hunting and fishing area for Sámi people for centuries. The solid Finnish peasant settlement was established at the beginning of the 17th century into this area. During the II World War, also Muonio was largely destroyed by the German troops.

The Farms of Kotakorva, Sieppi and Koskenniemi have the most representative traditional building stock in the village. The main building of Kotakorva is from the 1850s and the other two houses from the 1930s. At the river bank, there is the old tar grave of the villagers, and floodplains preserved for the visitors to explore.

The village is located as a strip landscape along the River Muonionjoki and the road along its banks. The majority of the village is on the southern slope of Utkuvaara, but the village continues south of Lake Utkujärvi to Nulusniemi. The old road runs along the southern edge of the village, where the old building base is located.

An ecumenical cross has been erected on top of Olos Hill. The Cross was blessed by Samuel Salmi, Bishop of the Diocese of Oulu on June 20, 2007, naming the Cross to the Apostle John. The place on the top of the fell is a place of silence, open to everyone to visit or give their respects.

In addition to changing exhibitions, Emma's Pirtti has Finland's northernmost pharmacy museum. The items of the Pharmacy Museum were received as a donation from Sinikka Niemi, a former pharmacist in Muonio. Donations have also been made by private individuals. Pharmacy operations began in Muonio in 1903, the first pharmacy was established in 1929.

One artist from Finnish Lapland, two from Norrbotten, Sweden and two from Scotland participated in Pallas' landscaping work. Each artist designed an environmental work of art for a site to be restored. The works used mainly natural materials such as stones, plants and wood, and they blend into nature anyway.

Akamella Cemetery in Sweden

Before Akamella, the deceased were transported to Matarenki. Sámi and new builders were buried in Akamella. After the end of the Finnish War (1808–1809), a new frontier of the kingdom was formed. Akamella and his deceased remained on the Swedish side. After Muonio became its own parish in 1812, a cemetery was established next to the church.

The Proving ground currently provides 20 km of different land based test tracks, up to 10 km of ice tracks on the lake and a large workshop which is connected to the offices and the conference room.
