Four major rock types are found adjacent to the reserve. From the oldest to the youngest, they are the tuffs with volcanic bombs, granodiorites, porphyritic rhyolites and basaltic dykes respectively. The biodiversity is rich in the Marine Reserve, including numerous kinds of fishes, stony corals, soft corals, gorgonian and marine invertebrates.
Citizens are not encouraged to visit the Marine Reserve. Thus, there are no public sanitary facilities including litter bins and toilets in the area.
