There is so much more to the culinary scene in Madrid than just tapas and madrileños like to explore other exotic options from time to time. Lebanese food fits well within these options, as like Spanish food it's not especially spicy. Shukran is found several places around town, but this one at Casa Arabe has a unique setting near the Retiro park.

The food at Shukran is delicious and it's a nice alternative to all the tapas you have to try in Madrid. The restaurant modern and simply but nicely decorated. The staff is very welcoming, smiling and helpful and prices are reasonable. This place even offers a terrace where you can enjoy an authentic Shisha if you fancy.
You have to try 'pastela lebanesa' which is rice and meat mixed with interesting spices and covered in a thin dough - great for two people to share.
