The building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is one of the seven buildings that make up the famous "Stalin skyscrapers".
It was built in 1948-1953 for the deployment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR on the project of architects Vladimir Gelfreich, Mikhail Minkus.

Why you should visit it

Interesting details:
1. according to the project, the building in the original design was without a spire in the style of American skyscrapers.
2.The house was built from the top down.First metal frame was erected, then it was concreted starting from the top floor to the foundation.

If you lift your head up, you will notice the coat of arms of the USSR on the facade. Its area is 144m2. (compare with the area of ​​your apartment :)

It’s one of the 7th ‘Stalin’s skyscrappers’ nr the Smolenskaya metro station. You cannot go inside but the outside view is impressive.
