Great day trip!
This was a great day trip and we were able to see the highlights of Salzburg. As our time was limited, it was nice to leave the navigation to someone else and experience the city without the hassles of planning it all and navigating by ourselves. That saved us time and allowed us to appreciate the city. I would recommend this trip to others who want a quick day trip to see the city.
Day Trip to Salzburg from Munich
Fabulous!!!
Just that word does not do this tour justice. Our guide was Jova. Not only was he an amazing story teller, but he was patient (when my group forgot a meeting time) and so much fun. I really recommend this tour!
Although go pee before you get to the tour platform, then there are plenty of restrooms after the 2 hour bus ride to get to the town where the castle is!

Very informative tour, highly recommend Nicola as a tour guide
The tour was seamless from start to finish, our Tour Guide Nicola was very well informed on the history and spoke clearly in English.

I would recommend this tour for English tourists in Munich and ask for Nicola. She also gave some great restaurant recommendations!

A great tour
Our guide India was super friendly, knowledgeable, and down to earth. The train ride down was beautiful, the castle was exquisite, and the heavy metal sausage shop in Hohenschwangau is an oddly wonderful place for lunch. I highly recommend this tour.

Awesome Day
This trip was amazing. Ian was the best tour guide and I seriously could have just taken the trip to sit on the train listening to him explain the history of Salzburg and it's interesting facts! Highly recommended.

The best tour I have ever been on out of the many I have been on, mainly due to the tour guide himself. In addition to being knowledgeable in seemingly everything concerning Salzburg and being fluent in German, he supplied me and my friends with a great and unique experience of Salzburg. None of what he said during the tour was scripted, but was rather drawn from his own personal knowledge of the region and explained with his own good sense of humor. Moreover, the extensiveness of this personal knowledge was shown as he detailed to me and all of the other tour attendees what and what would not be good to see in Salzburg with the current day's climate, which saved everyone a great deal of time and effort. He also went above and beyond what was required of him as a tour guide later on as he explained to me to me and my friends what we should see in Munich and the surrounding region, where one of the best restaurants in Munich was, as well as answering the incessant trivia that me and my friends asked. He even gave me a drink of his own Beer, which is only obtainable in Salzburg and which I had forgotten to buy. I do not feel it is an exaggeration to say that this man is a God, in terms of his abilities as a tour guide. Please if you are going on the Radius Salzburg tour or any other tour for that matter, ask when Ian is doing the tour to get the most out of the experience.

Munich must do!!
We were on our way to Neuschwanstein Castle, when my thoughtful husband had the idea to treat us, my foodie daughter and my very foodie-self to a Food tour in Munich ! I was a bit sceptical at first because, frankly, I did not think much of German food but... It all changed when we met Katrina; her obvious enthusiasm and love for her city and its food, was contagious! She took us on a whirlwind tour through a market, a beer garden and an ice cream store, to name but a few of the remarkable places that we visited, making sure that our bellies were full, and our minds both entertained and stimulated! It was not an easy task to keep us all happy, but my meat loving husband, my carbs happy daughter and my beer-experimental self, we all found this tour an absolute delight!! Thank you Katrina for opening our eyes to Munich's food scene!!

A trip to remember
This trip was awesome!! Ian was brilliant. Once we got on the train he told us the entire history of Salzburg (without reading of a paper), answered any questions we had saved us time doing it on the train vs. after we got to Salzburg. He then gave us all maps of the city and walked us through every dot on the map in detail so if there was something we wanted to do in our free time it was efficient to figure it out instead of wander around confused. Then he came around and asked what each of us were interested in and helped us decide where we needed to go. Super helpful! The day in Salzburg was beautiful and full of history. Ian did indeed save us so much time so we could fully utilize our 3 hours alone. He made sure to engage with all 32 of us at least once and was knowledgeable and made the tour a ton of fun!

Somber but terrific tour
We took the Radius tours Dachau concentration camp tour on the morning of Sept. 29th. Well extremely sad as expected, it was an amazing experience though the history of WW II and the persecution of so many people.

Steve was our guide and I can't imagine anyone knowing more about the history of the WW II or the specifics of Dachau. Steve guided us painlessly from Munich's main Train station to and through Dachau and back to the train station. All the while he imparted his infinite knowledge on the group and answered every question thoughtfully.

To tell you the truth, I was planning to visit the concentration camp on our own but my Girlfriend had a preference to take the tour. THANK GOD because Steve's tour was terrific.

Thanks Steve.

Great easy carefree trip from Munich - well worth it.
Although one could easily arrange train tickets oneself, it was so nice not to have to think about any of it, neither perusing guide books nor train timetables. The group was fun and the leader Sabina, excellent. There was sufficient time to view the major points of interest, then spend time investigating the ones you liked best. We found a nice restaurant for lunch, then up the funicular to the Schloss, which is highly recommended, and then barely time for an excellent ice cream at Fürst, a burst round Mozart's birthplace and it was time to return. The company made it easy to book on line and Radius Tours runs other great trips. This was a great day out from Munich and I highly recommend it.

Very Good Respectful Tour for an Emotional Place
I went on the tour of Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Tour. Our Guide Kevin was very informative and respectful with the topic at hand. I would think this is a very difficult thing to balance but Kevin seemed to do so with ease. As for Dachau itself I would just like to say, as many people are aware, it is a very emotionally difficult place to go to. The weight of what happened there really hits you as soon as you walk in the doors. I would recommend being very emotionally prepared and bring some tissues. It is important to remember as something like this does not happen again. Thank you Kevin and those who have worked to put together Dachau memorial.

Susan is the best!
Salzburg is a beautiful city that i previously knew nothing about. Susan was poignant and moved quickly, but slowed down at all the right spots. Allowed for pictures and food at the right times too! We were given a few hours of free time to wander the city, but for me the Highlight was the history you would never learn unless someone told you about it, which Susan did. The train ride from Munich to Salzburg was beautiful and the people I met were all wonderful. I would definitely recommend this inexpensive informative tour to anybody looking to see more than just Munich.
Day Trip to Salzburg from Munich
Highly recommended
Myself and my husband travelled from Munich to Prague and we had a fantastic trip with Pavlina. The bus is very comfortable and we had a few stops on the way for sightseeing and lunch. Pavlina was very knowledgeable about the places where we stopped off and was able to answer our queries on the history of the country. I would highly recommend using them for your travels. Pavlina even sent me an email with places to visit in Prague and hints/tips while we were there which was extremely helpful. I would not hesitate in booking with them again.

Excellent tour of Neuschwanstein with Jake!
Last week, my children (both 10) and I travelled to Neuschwanstein Castle for a day trip with Jake. We had a wonderful day. Jake did a terrific job storytelling as a means of navigating us through the history of Ludwig II's life and family. He interacted with the kids and involved them appropriately. It's a very long day for travelers, even seasoned travelers, and having a guide who paced everything so well was a tremendous benefit to the overall appreciation of the castle, the man behind it and the incredible setting. I highly recommend Jake.

Excellent trip!
Iain was an excellent guide and took pride in his job. He was fun to listen to and had excellent advice about what to and what not to see. He spent the train ride giving us history about Salzburg and genuinely seemed to enjoy the time spent. He answered all of our questions and had tidbits far beyond just brief history. As most people have said, the time was short and you could spend much longer in Salzburg so plan on knowing a little about what you want to see to maximize your free time spent!

Great day at Neuschwastein Castle thanks to Petra!!
Thanks to a good friend of mine, who suggested visiting the Castle as a one day trip from Munich, we chose "likealocal" to travel. Our guide was Petra, a great professional and a very happy person, wiiling to give us all the information about the history and the legends of the castle and King Ludwig of Bavaria. If we would visit Munich again in the future, we would definitely choose "likealocalguide" and we hope to meet Petra again.

Neuschwanstein with Austin
Absolutely pouring rain and for the entire tour, but Austin was upbeat and knowledgeable and totally made the trip just amazing. I had visited here before on my own, but his storytelling about the whole Ludwig history made this visit so much better! And not having to walk up the hill was so nice. The tour was worth every penny, thanks for a great rainy tour Austin, you gave us a wonderful day!

So good!!
Me and my husband had a great time with Katrina who was so full of knowledge about Munich!
She took us to several food places where we learnt about specialties of the city which we would have not known otherwise, and we had beer as well. We enjoyed all of it and our bellies were so full at the end of the tour!!
Thank you, Katrina, for our tour together, certainly a highlight of our trip!!
